Building Architect

Ernesto Bedmar is an Argentinian architect renowned for his contributions to tropical architecture in Asia. He founded Ernesto Bedmar Architects, a Singapore-based firm specializing in architectural, conservation, landscape, and interior design. Bedmar's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 10th Singapore Institute of Architects Architectural Design Awards in 2010 for both Recreational Buildings and Individual Houses categories. His designs have been featured in international publications, and he has authored monographs such as "Romancing the Tropics," "S-in-Five," and "The Bali Villas."

Notable projects include the Chancery Lane House in Singapore, which received an Honorable Mention in Architectural Design.

Through his innovative designs, Bedmar has set a benchmark for tropical architecture, seamlessly integrating natural elements to create poetic and functional spaces.

Shunmyō Masuno is a Japanese Zen Buddhist monk, renowned garden designer, and author. He is the chief priest of Kenkō-ji Temple in Yokohama, a professor at Tama Art University, and president of Japan Landscape Consultants Ltd.

His designs, inspired by Zen philosophy, blend traditional aesthetics with modern elements, as seen in the Canadian Embassy garden in Tokyo.

He won the Special Prize from the German Gala Spa Award for the Yu-sui-En Garden in Berlin. His books, such as The Art of Simple Living, explore Zen principles in daily life.

Masuno's design philosophy is deeply rooted in his Zen practice. Masuno views gardening as a spiritual practice, creating spaces of harmony and tranquility.
